iocto supports Bärenherz Children’s Hospice
Last Christmas, we made the initial decision to send our business partners a digital card and donate the saved budget for printing, shipping, and presents. This change was primarily driven by the desire to support a social purpose, but it also aligns with a welcome sustainability aspect by avoiding resources like paper, printing, and shipping. This forward looking step is one we intend to continue, so our partners can once again enjoy a beautiful digital card and a good deed this Christmas.
This time, our donation once again benefits the important work of the Bärenherz Children’s Hospice. For iocto, this institution is familiar, as back in 2021, we decided to use the budget originally allocated for a canceled Christmas party due to the pandemic to support a good cause. At that time, our team chose to allocate €3,550 to the Wiesbaden-based hospice.
We were even more delighted that a personal visit was possible this year.
On February 14, Beril Anik, Lukas Nottarp, and Paul Schumacher, representing the entire team, visited the Bärenherz Children’s Hospice in Wiesbaden. They were warmly welcomed by Bärenherz staff member Silke Moyer and gained insight into the daily work with seriously ill children and their families.
With our donation, we aim not only to provide financial support but also to raise awareness and encourage other companies to take similar steps. Together, we can achieve even more and bring about positive changes. We are proud to be part of this important work and will continue to do our best to help Bärenherz and other organizations in the future. For us, compassion is not just a onetime Christmas action; it’s an attitude we want to live by throughout the year.
