Shortcut for Startup
As a Hofheim-based company, we are particularly pleased that the Hessian Founder Award 2025 will be held in our hometown. Together with other facilitators – partners from business, local government, banks, employment agencies, and educational institutions, we are committed to creating optimal conditions for startups in Hesse. Our contribution: sharing knowledge, opening networks, providing resources, and actively promoting innovative projects. Making Innovations Possible At iocto, this commitment is more than just a promise. As an established company with over 40 years of industry experience, we are always looking to engage with young talent. A current example is our support for the TUcanSense team at TU Darmstadt, which has already received multiple awards for its innovative sensor technology. At the STARTUPS X HESSENMETALL 2025 networking event, we once again experienced the synergy between established industrial companies and innovative founders. At the invitation of Hessenmetall, our colleague Paul Schumacher gave a presentation at the Siemens Schaltanlagenwerk in Frankfurt, demonstrating how iocto, as a “shortcut for startups,” facilitates access to industrial know-how, production expertise, and technical implementation. From Startup to Startup Supporter Our connection to Hofheim is more than just geographical. As Mayor Christian Vogt aptly puts it: “The award is a good fit for Hofheim. Some of our roughly 4,200 companies were startups 120 years ago and are now global market leaders. Others are just taking their first steps – like the companies based in the Hofheim Innovation Center (HIZ). We want to continue this success story.”(Source: Hessischer Gründerpreis 2025) iocto was also one of these Hofheim startups 40 years ago – back then under the name “Gesellschaft für Sonder-EDV-Anlagen mbH.” Today, as an established industrial company, we are proud to come full circle: supporting innovative ideas and guiding young companies on their journey.
